Ohakune Water

• I read with interest in a Taumarunui Newspaper last week that there is once again a problem with Ohakune water. That may be so, but congratulations council on a great press release. It is about as good as saying a Ruapehu Councillor will die of an iricurable three day disease next week. Right you guys, there is a problem. You have been beating around the bush for the last four years that I am aware of, you have all the information at your finger tips, do something before someone pegs out. I presume that you still have some money available to spend in Ohakune (that s not spelt Taumarunui'). In the meantime I understand from Mr Ben Goddard that one way we can protect ourselves in the interim is to purchase a filter for our house water supplies. As these are approx $300 I take it we can take this cost off our rate bill as in reality you are not supplying us with fresh water as per the rate demand! In the meantime would you please mind supplying us ignorante people out in the real world what the hell is GIARDIA or is that just another big fancy word that we are paying for. While you are at it, where did this information come from, and where else in this big survey did this little nasty appear. From your past record I presume
