College activities

Ruapehu College third and fourth formers are off in all directions this week as part of the annual college Activities Week. Activities the pupils have to chose from include: golf coaching at the Waimarino Golf Club; a Rotorua discovery trip; tramping into the Kaimanawas to see the wild horses; a coastal tramping trip in the Abel Tasman National Park; a 'Cook's tour of Whanganui and its landscape, natural resotirces, history and adventure; work on the Ohakune Junction Railway Station; Taha Maori experience at the local Marae; mystery cycle tours; a water skills

trip to Tauranga; 'Local Area Discovery' with trips to local lakes, museums, rivers, walks, farms etc; and bat and racquet sportsmanship.
