Apostolic Church Senior Studies Block Ruapehu College SUNDAY 17 NOVEMBER 10.30am - Family Worship & Communion - Childrens Church ALL WELCOME Inquiries - Ted Kumeroa Phone 58-508 ;V: : : PERSON AL Happy Birthday for the 16th PUBLIC NOTICES SALE FORES FASHION FARE Closing Down Sale finishes Friday 16th November. ALL STOCK HALF PRICE. All plants for sale as well. Phone 56465 Waiouru To interested Fish or Game Licence Holders The Taranaki Fish and Game Council is concerned that with the amalgamation with the Taranaki-Wanganui-Waimarino areas of four Acclimatisation Societies and a ward of the Central Wildlife Conservancy Council, there could be a loss of grass roots input due to reorganisation into a very much larger district. Council is aware of the value of licence holders opinions and wishes to foster your participation. One postitive way to so this is to form user groups or clubs who could as a result of their collective experiences or opinions keep Council informed of situations in the user group area of interest or anywhere else for that matter. It must be pointed out that this type of activity would not preclude any individual contacting the Council on any pertinant issue. There are two ways that information may be relayed to Council, one is direct to Councils office and secondly via the elected sub-region representative. Some suggestions for the conduct of user groups are: 1 . Meet on a regular basis to discuss own and Councils activities. From time to time subregion councillors or staff could be available to address meetings. 2. Promote interest in animal and habitat management by assisting with field operations. 3. Educate and encourage juniors to participate in and enjoy recreational fishing and hunting. 4. Promote a high standard of ethics in participation in the sport. 5. Instruction in fishing techniques, gun dog training, firearms safety etc. There are no doubt many other activities that could be incorporated into a clubs make-up.. This letter is being relayed in the first instance to licence holders via your subregion Councillors and it is Councils hope that you, the interested licence holder will take it from there.
