Close finish for indoor soccer final
Two evenly matched f indoor soccer teams bat- ■ tled for the top spot in l the final of the | Waimarino United Trophy competition reI cently, with the Roy I Turner's team taking the § prize. The team was top of
the Hot Lava division at the end of the winter competition and played against Magpies who were the Ruapehu Bulletin Division winners. At full time the score was 2-all and extra time was played. It looked all
over about 10 minutes into the extra time when Magpies were awarded a penalty. Totally out of character, Duan Dixon missed the penalty and the extra time continued. Roy Turners scored the winning goal four minutes later.
