Lack of action frustrates Board
During discussions on a number of issues at the last Waimarino Community Board meeting, members expressed frustration at lack of action on their recommendations and requests. It was noted that a number of reports requested had either taken a very long time to come back to them or never came back at all. Also, there was no feedback on recommendations the
board made to full council. Board chairman Colin Webb said "the biggest failing of the community board system is we make all sorts of recommendations but we don't know where they end up. Waimarino Board action
From page 3 had been under enormous pressure over past months in setting up the new district council and that now things were settling down they should be able to provide boards with more feedback. Mayor Garrick Work-
man told the board that Waimarino's was by far the most active in the district. Cr Bill Peach said the area was bigger and more complex than the others and Cr Ellen Gould expressed concern at the extra administration expense of requested reports.
