Badminton tournament a success
The Ohakune badminton club held its first ever open toumament on Saturday 1 September. With players from Wanganui, Palmerston North, Taihape and Taumarunui, there were some good tough games played. Crantson & sons, K.K. Contractors and Waione Farms (Bates) The Wanganui Association held it's residentials toumament on 12 August. with Ohakune sending down several players. Some members did quite well. Some of the results were; Ken Young runner up A Res Singles, (a bit unlucky as he battled the game out for over an hour and was leading 14-10 in the third set with one point to go to win but his body cramped up).
