Band cuts a sharp image
Visiting the region this Thursday and Friday are Rick Bryant - described by Rip it Up magazine as "NZ's best white male singer" and the "Scissormen" who recently supported the "Hoodoo Gurus" and "Big Pig" on their NZ tours. Rick formed his band the J.vebomers" in the eighties and went on to play with the Neighbours" and "Rough Justice" as weli as a solo career. The Evening Post describe him as "the powerful no-nonsense soul legend." The scissormen as their name suggests prove they can cut it with high energy songs, pitched cleveriy between the poppy and the progressive. Expect a good night's entertainment at the Hot Lava this Thursday and Friday.
