PUBLIC NOTiCES Hillary Commission Local Recreation and Sport Scheme The Hillary Commission and the Ruapehu District Council have loan and subsidy funds available under the above scheme for allocation to volunteer organisations involved in recreation and sport including amateur arts, plays, games, hobbies and cultural activities. The total amount available is $19,000. Funds from this scheme are available under the following conditions: 1. That the applicants are organisations whose evident primary purpose is recreational an/or sporting in nature. 2. If applying for a loan, that the organisation can provide or obtain funding (excluding further loan financing) of at least 50% of the project. 3. Minimum loan of $1,000 with a maximum loan period of 5 years. 4. With interest rates, subject to variation during the term, set currently as follows: 1st year 0.0% 2nd year 3.75% 3rd year 7.50% 4th year 10.25% 5th year 10.25% 5. Organisation applying for subsidy funding are expected to meet a significant part of the costs of the project applied for.
