Poor roads

Concern over the state of some back country roads was voiced by WCB member Winston Oliver at last week's meeting. Cr Oliver said current water tables on some roads are at a very low standard, with essential work not being carried out.

Recent minor slips he said, are the cause of a number of blocked water tables that have caused road flooding. He maintained that in some cases it has taken works staff a month to alleviate the problem. The matter was referred to the board's September meeting.
