The Foreman manages a production team of ten operators and 2 shift tradesmen. The foreman is responsible for ensuring pulp production is maximised while meeting quality standards and minimising production costs. The pulping process used by Winstones is a high technology heavy industry operation, utilising the latest computer control technology and instrumentation. This is a key position in our organisation and we are looking for a person with the following attributes: - Good people skills in leadership, communication and motivation. - A high technical aptitude with the ability to learn and retain a detailed understanding of the theory and operating principles of our process. - The ability to make level headed decision under " pressure, to prioritize and delegate work and to quickly recognise situations where additional assistance is required. - A self starter with initiative. Previous experience in the Pulp and Paper Industry would be beneficial along with supervisory and shift work experience. Preference will be given to people with trades and tertiary qualifications.
