Road use causes airstriphazard

Council technical services staff have been asked to investigate diverting a road that at present crosses the Ruatiti Airstrip, because the road is now being used, causing a potential hazard. Waimarino Community Board member Winston Oliver asked for the investigation, saying a settlement had been started at the end of the road, which was previously disused. He said the long term

solution would be to divert the road around the end of the strip and that the landowners concerned would be happy to co-operate.
