Speech competitions

On 7 July 1990 the Ruapehu ITC Ladies will be hosting the Regional Finals for the Impromptu and Humorous speeches which will be held in the Ruapehu College Senior Common Room. The impromptu speeches begin at 10.30am and will be judged by Mrs Gledhill of Wellington, Gaye Fahey of Orautoha and Joan Flack of Taihape. At 1.30pm the hu-

morous speeches start, judged by Mr Gledhill of Wellington, Bill Taylor of Raurimu and Andrew Cornwall of Raetihi. The Ruapehu ITC will be represented by Margaret Cornwall in the Impromptu Speech and by Jean Windle in the Humorous Speech. Her topic will be "Committees". A small fee of $2 will be charged for non members and children are admitted free.
