Rangataua School put on a heart-warming concert despite the cold outside on Friday afternoon 22 June. They opened their performance with a Maori welcome, followed by recorder playing in which the entire school joined. The visitors were then treated to a play about a "Poor old Horse" that wouldn't co-operate with the farmer until a circus came to town! This was followed by group singing and folk dancing, the adults joining in the less intricate but just as energetic ones, such as "shoo-fly". A hot cuppa' with CATASTROPHE INSURANCE ARRANGED. King Country Electric Power Board has been insured against catastrophe under a new electricity supply industry scheme. The premium for insurance cover is $22,816 plus GST per year, with administration costs to be billed later.
plenty of afternoon tea rounded off an enjoyable concert. The pupils hope the weather will be kinder, allowing more Rangataua residents to attend the next performance.
