Tumblers go "Topsy Turvy"

The local gymnastics club, Turoa Tumblers, plans to begin a preschoolers' playgym programme, known as "Topsy-Turvy," within weeks of their initial meeting tomorrow night. The meeting has been arranged to investigate the community needs in order to fine tune ideas for their project. All interested in being involved with the development of safe yet challenging activities for pre-schoolers are especially asked to attend so that their input will give an indication of the particular needs of the children of the Ruapehu District. The programme will acknowledge the importance of cultural equity, personal and social development, physical growth and the development of motor skills by learning through movement - building strong bodies and alert minds - "a great start in life". See classifieds for more details.
