College praise
Ruapehu College Board of Trustees chairperson Mrs Margaret Horne has received this letter from ex-principal Michael Warbrick: Our visit recently to Ohakune was particularly memorable - made even more so when Harry Cast showed us over the College. The Trustees, staff, students are to be congratulated on the state of Ruapehu College. Since my return to Edgecumbe College I had been seconded to the inspectorate on a number of occasions, and no secondary school which I have seen is so carefully looked after and well equipped. I cannot help but wonder if the larger community it serves appreciates just what it has by way of a teaching establishment second to none. Long may it continue to be so!
