New Outdoor Pursuits centre director
The Outdoor Pursuits Centre has a new director; Grant Davidson. Formerly the Head of Operations and Development at O.P.C, he has stepped into the top job at the outdoor education centre replacing Mick Hopkinson who resigned recently. The appointment was announced after a recent meeting of the Trust Board of the Outdoor Pursuits Centre. Trust Chairman, Brian Carran, says Davidson's multitude of talents in the field of recreational education and his 14
year association withthe Centre made him the ideal candidate. Thirty-one year old Davidson is a science graduate with a diploma of Teaching and a Diploma of Recreation and Sport. He believes the future of the Centre will be exciting and challenging. The potential for go ahead at the Centre is enormous, due to the recent change in attitude to Outdoor Education by "Tomorrows Schools", along with the large demand by corporate groups for
more management and leadership development courses. Davidson will be
leading a team of some of the world's most experienced outdoor instructors.
