Carrot and Thai kai

They ran a carrot eating competition at the Wellington Snow Show, with a prize of a weekend's skiing at Turoa staying at Turoa Lodge. Guess who won - Graeme Berry, the manager of Turoa Lodge (yes, he skis too!). What lengths some people will go to to cut down on their business overheads! We hear the carrot was also his lunch for the day! The above story is over-shaddowed by Graeme's generosity in taking the Ohakune locals who were at the snow show out to dinner at his other business - Wellington's Thai restaurant. Some people didn't appreciate the generosity however, not having the intestinal conditioning and experience to process Thai style cooking to the same state as Kiwi kai! (Eye of the needle stuff, we hear!)
