Power expertise put to good use
A Taumarunui Borough Council electricity dcpartment design that controls street lighting is about to be installcd in Turangi by the KCEPB. The devise allows independent switching night and morning to ensure the lights go on at the most appropriate time. Chicf enginccr Colin Martin told the board's May meeting in Ohakune that complaints had becn received from early morning ridcrs in Turangi that the strcct lights were going off too soon, and the new device should overcome that.
