OPPORTUNIST THEFT
Ohakune Police are investigating the theft of the weekend takings of Cedar Service Centre, Goldfinch Street. Police say it was an "opportunist theft", whereby someone from off the street helped themselves to cheques and cash totalling several thousand dollars. Enquiries are continuing.
