LONG-SERVING FIREMAN

Ohakune Volunteer Fireman, John Nation, was honoured by family and friends at a special evening held at the Ohakune Fire Station recently. Johnny has enjoyed almost 43 years on the brigade, nearly holding the record for the longest-serving volunteer! He is pictured being congratulated by Chief Fire Officer Max Martin.
