Health

Just a few minutes was all it took for health professionals to assess cholesterol, pif se rate and blood pressure of people tested at last week's Health Days clinics held in Raetihi and Ohakune. The purpose of the exercise was to promote awareness of heart health and associated factors such as nutrition and diet, exercise; alcohol, drugs, cigarettes and stress. Health professionals in town on both days included dietician Robyn Frogley, Public Health Nurse Helen Pocknall, Occupational Health Nurse Rosemary Foster and Heart Foundation member Jenny Wairn. Organisers were pleased with the public's response from both centres.
