Opening golf
Opening day at the Waimarino Golf Club on Sunday saw a small crowd playing in damp conditions, with some good golf coming to light despite the conditions. Results were: Greensome foursomes: P Goldfinch and L Drinkwater 12 up; J Hammond and H Cranston 8 up; Colin Allerby and R Christenson 7 up. Mens fourball: C Pepcne and A Condon 12 up; H Geister and J Murphy 8up; G Imhoff and F Brandl 8 up. Twos were scored by Con Heinold and Pat Mcllroy.
