As part of a social studies unit on historical changes and their effect on this community, Ohakune Primary $chool are setting.up a display of photographs and articles from the past. The school hopes the children will be able to handle some articles, for exapmple old irons, butter churns etc., rather than just look at them. If you have any articles you wish to share the school promises to take good care of them. Anyone with first-hand knowledge of such Coirection Last week's story, Bilingual unit popular contained an error - . Ohakune teacher Mrs Anne Vincent has Maori blood, with connections with the Tainui and Aotea canoes. The story said Mrs Vincent was pakeha but failed to mention that she has Maori ancestry.
articles and ihe times they were used will be invaluable, say the teachers involved in the unit. Anyone iterested in helping with the unit is asked to contact the school.
