Drunk driving and other charges
Francis Antonio Henare, 17, workman of Pipiriki was convicted of charges of dangerous driving, driving with an excess breath-alcohol level and failing to stop. He pleaded guilty to all charges. On the dangerous driving and driving with a breath-alcohol level of 550:1 charges he was fined $300 each and disqualified from driving for six months.
For failing to stop he was fined $150. The judge told Henare if he had not already sold his motorcycle the court would have considered confiscating it.
