YOUNG WRITER ENCOURAGES OTHERS

Raetihi Form Two pupil Shae McLean won a unique award at the end of last year - the Lisa Crowley Writing Award which was presented for the first time by Mrs Godfrey to the Form Two pupil who showed special talent in writing. What makes the award unique is that it was made possible thanks to a donation from a recent pupil of the Raetihi School - Lisa Crowley. Lisa is herself a keen writer and has had two stories accepted for The School Journal, which is published nation-wide. The award she has instigated comes from the money she received for the publication of those stories.
