Raetihi year finishing touch

Parents, teachers, children and friends gathered in the Raetihi primary school hall on Thursday to put the finishing touches to the end of another school year. Speeches were presented by Vice Principal Myra Crowley, Principal Doug McLean, Ruapehu Mayor Garrick Workman and spokesperson for the Board of Trustees, Rowena Kui. Special Awards presented were: Lisa Crowley, Writing Award - presented by Mrs Godfrey. Speech Cup - Raetihi Repertory Cup,

Jennifer Frame. Blackburn Cup - Most Improved Maori pupil, Michelle Kui. Raetihi Golden Jubilee Cup - Best All Round Maori pupil, Shannon Taura (presented by Mr Marumaru). Runner Up

Dux - Trudi Allerby. Dux - Warwick Allen. Best All Round Form 2 pupil - Shaun McLean, (presented by Mr Doug McLean). Citizenship Cup - Violet Kinnaird, (presented by Mayor Garrick Workman).
