There were many Christmas functions around Waiouru last week, and our Empty Page reporter visited the Keningston Kindergarten Christmas Barbeque for children and parents, last Thursday. The kindergarten head teacher Doreen Cress-

land ensured everyone was made to feel welcome and made sure the afternoon was a festive occasion. Parents were treated to a sing-song by the children and "they entertained everyond, with several Christmas songs before each child

received a Christmas present from the kindergarten staff. The afternoon was fun for all including the Empty Page reporter who was treated to a plateful of delicious barbeque steak and salad!
