Merry Christmas, from Ruapehu Lions
Frank and Almo Mischewski were among Ihe senior citizens who were taken for a ride by Ruapehu Lions last week - a mystery bus ride through Taihape and the Mangawekas to Flat Hills Farm. On their return to Ohakune the folk, from Ohakune and Raetihi, were wined and dined at the Ruapehu Lions Den, which is where the Mischewskis revealed that they were married in the same building (it was once a catholic church) 63 years earlier. The couple have lived all their married life in Ohakune, with Almo having come from Dannevirk and Frank (who turned 90 not long ago) from Inglewood.
