Pets just part of the day

Orautoha students and their favourite pets paraded at a pet day held at the school last week, The day, highlighted by brilliant sunshine, brought together dogs and puppies, horses, goats, pet lambs and a guinea pig. After the animal parade the chil-

dren led their pets through a small obstacle course - taking then through gates and tyres, under wooden beams and over ramps. All the children were awarded with certificates for their efforts. The day also included the "Wackiest hairdo,"

and "Far outest face" competition. School principal Dianne Napper was pleased with the day's events. She appreciated also the time put in by the children, parents and grandparents in making the day so successful.
