OHAKUNE SWIMMING CLUB TO REFORM
The Ohakune Swimming Club is to be reformed. Fifteen people attended a public meeting last Wednesday at the Ruapehu Lions' Den to discuss the idea, with a further 17 people registering their appologies at not being able to attend. An annual general meeting is to be held on Thursday 7 December, also at the Lions' Den, to form a new committee. Many of those present at last week's meeting have had experience at teaching beginners and all were prepared to learn and help where possible. Subject to the baths being open lessons will start at 10am on Saturday 2 December. Also discussed was the coaching of more advanced swimmers and adults. A couple from Wanganui, Mr and Mrs Young, who have much experience in swimming instruction are to be asked to visit on the onenine weekend.
