Waiouru Workshops the champions

Waiouru Camp's 1989 sports champions are 4 ATG Workshops. Workshops won the coverted command trophy ahead of the Army Schools and Headquarters Company. Throughout the year units compete against

each other in organised sporting events. The units competed in events such as skill-at-arms, cross-country, superunit and the half marathon. In order to do well in the competition a unit had to score 10 points.

, The Command trophy was presented to Major T.J. Cook Officer Commanding of 4 ATG Workshops on a command parade last Mon-

day 6 November 1989 by the Commander ATG Colonel Phil MaGuire. Command trophy results: 1st, 4 ATG Workshops 64 points;

2nd, Army Schools 62 points; 3rd, Headquarters Company 61 points; 4th, 4 Composite Squadron 47 points.
