Heat on runners

Regular Force Cadets competed in the cadets schools annual cross country competition last Tuesday 8 November 1989. The course was a gruelling 10.5km run in hot temperatures through the ATG training area. This put a great deal of pressure on the individual runners especially in the hill sections of the course. Although no records were broken, the cadets still managed good times with an average time of 50 mins. The individual trophy went to cadet T.W. Taylor with 2 Platoon the champion platoon. Results: Individual, lst T.W. Taylor 47.00 mins; 2nd J.R. Peterken 48.08; 3rd C.J. Kennan 48.35; 4th L.M. Thomas 48.49. Platoon, lst 2 Platoon 146 points; 2nd 1 Platoon 151 points; 3rd 3 Platoon 167 points.
