$20,000 FOR RIVER VISITOR INFORMATION

The information display at Pipiriki's Colonial House is to be upgraded, with $20,000 being spent. The present information display is so far out of date it makes no mention of the Whanganui National Park or the Department of Conservation. An information display for when the Colonial House is closed will be provided in the public shelter opposite the house. The money has come from a tourism development grant for upgrading visitor information services on the Wanganui River Road.
