Waimarino riding

In mid September the Waimarino Riding Club held a meeting at Mrs Cooper's, where Kay Avery, a member of the New Zealand Polocrosse team spoke to the members about their trip to Zimbabwe. This proved very interesting and promoted a lot of discussion. There will be a return trip to New Zealand in the future. On 1 October five members had an enjoyable ride out to the Toawhango Dam from the Saddle Club grounds at Waiouru and back - about two hours each

way. Although the wind was cool it was a most pleasant day out. The next meeting is at Karen Hopkin's home, Fields Track where Mr Robert McCallum will be talking and showing videos of his recent trip to Nepal, on Tuesday 31 October. Our next ride will be a crosscountry practise day at Roke's property, Ohakune on Sunday 26 November 1989. Any members interested in the club please contact Evelyn Cooper phone 58-466.
