Safety code for bungy

Bungy jumping operators have formed a federation of commercial operators and are submitting their ideas for a code of safe practice to the Standards Association. Seven member companies are to provide the funding necessary, about $12,000, for the Standards Association to take the submissions and set out a code of

practice. The member companies, which includes New Sensatioiis Supply Company of Ohakune, will then follow the code of practice. The companies decided to put up the $12,000 to fast-track the code of practice, as the Standards Association did not have the money available, according to federation executive member Chris Allum.
