Old style Ohakune mooted
One Ohakune businessman is calling for Clyde Street shops to be "aged". Wholesome Foods proprietor Phil Abel, as a 1990 Committee member, has suggested the main street would look good if the shop fa?ades were of a similar era style to the Bucks Drapery block. To work on the shops now would be in keeping with the spirit of the 1990 commemorations, and would be good for the look of the town to visitors, he says. The 1990 committee has also discussed the Raetihi main street.
looking for ideas to spruce up the business area. They heard that the Raetihi promotions group was working on such a project.
