Thanks to hospital Pink Ladies

By Donna McGrath Jocelyn Bright is the young co-ordinator of Waimarino Hospital's volunteer Pink ladies. Her job is to make up the roster system for

the 13 volunteer members from the community and make sure everyone is happy with it. The pink ladies visit the sick, elderly, and

the new mothers of the Waimarino Hospital each Tuesday and Thursday. They chat with the patients, change their flowers, read and write letters, do their hair and nails and any shopping that may be required. With

them the ladies take along new spirit and leave with pleasure and reward. Jocelyn says she finds her involvement with the scheme very enjoyable. Her team made up of Waimarino residents consists of

Margaret Bennett, Robyn Wagstaff, Val Littlewood, Margo Webb, Merle Hussey, Ann Odey, Jenny Dobson, June Mosen, Joan Richfields, Girl Munn, Marilyn Pearce, Dorothy McNee, and Jocelyn Bright.
