Drugs charge
Ariki Graeme Rongonui, 25, beneficiary of Raetihi, pleading guilty to a charge of possessing a pipe for the purpose of committing an offence under the Misuse of Drugs Act on 25 September. Defendant explained, through counsel, that the pipe had been found at his home during a recent major police operation but that he had not used it for some considerable time. He was convicted and ordered to come up for sentencing if he offended within 6 months. Counsel: Duncan Harvey.
