70 years' tennis
A competition open to Waimarino businesses to compete for the "Rose Bowl Trophy" will commence on 31 October. Details and entry forms are available at H . E . W e b b s , Foodmaster, Ohakune Trustbank and Berry 's Bookshop. The committee invites Waimarino residents to support this special 70th Anniversary Celebration with a game of tennis for the whole family to enjoy.
The committee for the 1989-90 season are: President Eileen Gotlieb, Secretary Faith Wise, Treasurer Nancy Winter, Club Captain, Alan Bowater, Vice Club Captain Sal Cotter, Members - Lesley Todd, Mana Moana, Russell Flavell^ Don Robinson. * The Raetihi Tennis Club is holding its 70th jubilee celebrations this year, and it all begins on opening day, 28 October for juniors and 29 October
for seniors. The club will be holding a special tennis weekend towards the end of the season incorporating a 1920's theme. The club has had a successful 70 years and hopes that future years will be no different. Three coaches have been selected to teach the juniors, and bring young interest into the club - those being Faith Wise, Nancy Winter and Mai Cotter.
