Children try pony riding

Despite the extremely wet weather on the weekend the saddle club held their annual open day in Waiouru on Sunday afternoon. The day is held for new registrations and to invite people to come and see the horses and riders in action. Several demonstrations were performed including one by four ,adult club members riding to music. There was also a demonstration by two younger riders and their horses showing warm-up exercises that should be done before starting to ride. The rain cleared long enough for the lollie scramble, hot dogs, and for the not-so-experi-enced riders to be led around the club house-
