Waiouru trivial pursuits
By Philippa French The team called the 'Hums' took the first place prize at the Trivial Pursuit evening held in Waiouru last Tuesday. The evening was organised by the Waiouru Primary School to raise money for the standard three/four children's
camp to Kiwi Ranch in Rotorua. There were six teams in the competition, each team with 2 or 4 members. Although the questions were like Trivial Pursuit questions it was organised slightly differently. The teams were given 10 questions on a sheet of paper and given three
minutes to answer them. There were a total of 10 sheets of questions with all kinds of topics, ranging from music, sport, geography and history. Some of the original team names were: Scotties, Brain Busters, Prefects and Rats Redeemers.
