Officer cadets take swimming

By Philippa French Officer Cadet School won the inter-unit

swimming sports last Wednesday evening at Waiouru.

The racing began at 7pm and finished at approx 10pm. Seven teams took part in the event and the races varied from one length freestyle to four length medleys plus six by one length novelty race, where each team member had to swim a length in woollen long johns and vests! The pobl complex was full with both spectators and competitors and the competition was a big success. First place with 143 points was Offier Cadet School, second with 74 points was Headquaxters Company, third with 71 points was Regular Force Cadets, fourth with 62 points was Army Schools, fifth with 59 points „was Four Supply Company, sixth with 44 points was Navy, seventh with 25 points was Workshops.
