RUAPEHU DISTRICT COUNCiL ELEQTIQNS 1. POSTAL VOTING Voting papers will be mailed to all persons whose names appear on the electoral roll on 28th and 29th September 1989. The physical delivery of papers will be spread over a few days but any elector who has not received voting papers by Thursday, 5 October should contact my office. "Please remember to post your voting paper back in plenty of time using your own personal envelope: you do not help us jf more than one persons' voting papers are placed in the same envelope. Voting papers must be returned to me at the latest by noon on Saturdav. 14 October 1989. New Zealand Post has advised that to meet this deadline, papers should be mailed back no later than Wednesday, 11 October 1989. 2. SPECIAL VOTES Certain persons, whose names do not appear on the electoral roll and thus will not be mailed voting papers, may qualify as a Special Voter. Special voting facilities will be available at the Taumarunui Borough and County Council Offices, Taumarunui and the Waimarino District Council Offices (in repsect of Waimarino and Waiouru wards only) at Ohakune from Friday, 29 September 1989 onwards during normal office hours until 4.30pm on Friday, 13 October 1989. Special voting facilities will also be available at the Taumarunui Borough Council Office up to noon on Saturday, 14 October 1989, being the close of voting.
