Scouts plant pines for Navy radio
By Phhjppa French The weather last Saturday was perfect for spring gardening and that's exactly what Waiouru's boy scouts and their families did. They had 2000 radiata pine trees to plant as part of a fund raising project. The trees were planted for the Navy for a shelter belt for their transmitter farm. The money eamt by the scouts will go towards sending five scouts to Auckland for the Scout Jamboree.
