TE HEU HEU TROPHY SKIING NEXT WEEK
The annual team skiing competition for the trophy donated by the Te Heu Heu family is to be run at Whakapapa on Saturday 7 October. The race, this year sponsored by Camperney, is open to ski clubs, business houses and other groups and combines slalom, giant slalom and downhill on one course, called a "gysladown". Teams of five, each including at least two women, make up the competition which organiser Brent Checsman from the Takapuna Ski Club describes as a fun event with as much emphasis on the prize giving social function and on the race.
