WAIMARINO BOYS IN REPRESENTATIVE TEAM

Waimarino rugby halfback Aron McCaan, prop Robert Grossard, winger Steven Stowers and centre Anthony Callahan have made the King Country Secondary schools under 18 rugby rcprcsentative team. They are coached by Te Kuiti's Bruce Stevens, who has the boys practising in Taumarunui regularly. The team plays Waikato in Te Kuiti on Sunday 17 September and the Australian selcction at Te Kuiti on 24 September. The boys say they enjoy being in the team where they have learnt many new skills, playing with and among bigger players.
