Organiser: Peggy Frew THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1977 PUBLIC NOTICE OF DISTRICT SCHEME CHANGE RAETIHI DISTRICT SCHEME CHANGE NO.89/1 The Waimarino District Council has prepared a district scheme change for the Raetihi District Scheme. The change has become necessary so that the Council may deal with it's property more expeditiously following Local Government reorganisation. The proposal is to: 1. uplift the designation "County Council Office" from Sec. 106 Blk. X Raetihi Township (102 Seddon Street) and zone the land "Commerical B" and 2. uplift the designation "Public Centennial Rest f Rooms Borough Council and Library" from Lot 2 D.P. 44224 and Secs. 230 and 231 Raetihi Township (101-103 Seddon Street) and zone that part of the land on which the former Borough Council Office stands: "Commercial B" and the remainder "Residential A" and 3. retain the designation of "Power Board" over Lot 1 D.P. 44224 (22 Duncan Street) but zone the underlying land "Residential A". The Scheme change may be inspected at the District Council Office's in Ohakune and Raetihi at any time when they are open to the public. Forms for submissions and objections (Form C) are available at the Council's offices. Submissions and objections to the change or any part thereof may be made by any person or body affected or representing some relevant aspect of the public interest. Submissions and objections shall be in writing in Form C prescribed in the Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1978 or to the like effect and shall be lodged at the office of the Council not later than 4pm on Friday October 20 1989. At a later date every submission and objection will be open for public inspection and any body or person who wishes to support or oppose any submission or objection will be intitled to do so.
