Cash for Raetihi & Ohakune groups
The Trust Bank Wanganui Community Trust last week announced their donation of $7-5,024 to organisations in the Wanganui Region. The amount included $2300 for Ohakune groups and $1500 for Raetihi groups.
The donations are funded from dividends paid to the trust from its shareholding in Trust Bank New Zealand Limited. Among Wanganui donations were $5000 for the Eye Care Appeal and $5804 for equipment for the Wanganui Area Health Board to help services to women and children. Ohakune donations were: Waimarino Pig Hunting Club $200; Ohakune Voluntecr Fire Brigade $500; Turoa Tumblers $200; Ohakune Primary School $200; Rangataua School $200;
Royal New Zealand Plunket, Ohakune $200; Taupo Mountain Radio Service, Ohakune $200; Ohakune Senior Citizens $200; Waimarino Ladies' Golf Club $200; Seeker Netball Club $200. Raetihi donations were: Waimarino Pony Club $200; Waimarino Smallbore Rifle Club $200; Raetihi Primary School $200; Orautoha Primary School $200; Raetihi Senior Citizens $200; Royal New Zealand Plunket, Raetihi $200; Waimarino Polocrosse $200.
