Tumblers play in Auckland
The National Gymnastic Championships were held in Chase Stadium, Auckland during the week 28 August and 2 September. It was run as a rehersal for the Commonwealth Games with the gymnasts competing on brand new imported Aoromat gear. Results: Boys Grade 5, Shaun McLcan, 16th overall; Warwick Hays, 8th overall. Warwick also came first with his voluntary vault. The boys were
Silver medallists in the team section in a composite team with boys from Wellington and Wanganui. Girls Junior Elite: Carys Hubbard 4th overall with Carys winning beam title. There will be an opportunity to see these and other gymnasts at the Turoa Tumblers' "Vegymski Wcekend" on 16, 17 September.
