IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR RESIDENTS WITHIN THE AREA SERVED BY THE WAIOURU TV TRANSLATOR BROADCAST COMMUNICATION LTD, and TVNZ advise viewers in the Waiouru area that, on 21 September (subject to favourable weather conditions), significant changes will be made to the TV1 translator serving the Waiouru area. The work is expected to take 6 hours to complete, during which period the TV1 service will be " switched off. The service will be changed from channel 7 to channel 11. This change is required to permit the introduction of TV3 tranmissions, due to start in the Manawatu in November. FOR INFORMATION ON ADJUSTMENTS REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN THE TV1 SERVICE, PLEASE SEE THE INFORMATION FOUND ELSEWHERE IN THIS ISSUE OF THE RUAPEHU BULLETIN. An advice service will be available from Broadcast Communications Ltd, Woodville, on (0650) 48-81 1 between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm from the 20th of September 1989. Both TVNZ and TV3 regret any inconvenience to viewers in the area served by the Waiouru TV translator.
